Teen Pick: A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson is a very suspenseful mystery. There are many characters, so you really don't know who did it until the end. At the same time you would think with so many characters it would get confusing but the author does a good job of balancing things out.

Teen Pick: Schitt's Creek

A rich family has to move into a small trashy town after they lose everything. This show is very funny and addictive. It has 6 seasons so can last a little bit.

Teen Pick: Just One

Just One is a party game for 3-7 players. It is face paced and super fun. The answers can be hilarious and you have to be creative. Also you need to think outside of the box.

There Will Come a Darkness... an epic new series opener with a large cast of characters

x

We love this debut series starter, There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool. Oh and it was a 2020 Morris Award finalist.

The age of darkness approaches in this lush fantasy debut (and part one of a trilogy). Beautiful world-building and amazing characters: a dying girl, a killer, a prince, a soldier... and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

The Gravity of Us... escape to an alternate 2020 with a Mars mission and young love

We just read The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper.

Seventeen-year-old Cal Lewis Jr. is a Brooklyn hipster and social media guru who wants to be a reporter after he graduates college. But then he moves with his family to Texas so his father become part of the 2020 NASA Mars mission. Cal is forced to rethink his plans as he adjusts to the Texas climate, gets thrown into the spotlight, and finds love. This is a story about finding your voice and finding yourself, and it offers a nice, alternative 2020 - a great read for fans of romance, realistic fiction, social media, and character-driven books.
